A special session dedicated to the educational community of Secondary Education is organized within the framework of ICETASI 2026 by the Helias Branch of the Hellenic Mathematical Society. The aim is to highlight good practices, exchange expertise and bridge the gap between classroom practice and academic research. We invite science teachers who utilize innovative technologies to submit their work.
Topics:
The works should fall into the following categories:
- Applied Sciences in Education (STEM/STEAM)
- Applied Mathematics and modeling in the classroom.
- Connecting the sciences with problems of everyday life and the environment.
- Teaching scenarios and laboratory practices in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Digital Technologies & Innovative Practices
- Integrating Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) in classes.
- Use of Digital Learning Tools, Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.
- Distance learning and hybrid learning models.
- Interdisciplinary Approaches Using Hardware & Software
- Educational Robotics: Applications and scenarios using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bit, LEGO, etc.
- Programming & Physical Computing: Software development by students to solve practical problems.
- 3D Printing and Maker Movement at school.

a) Conference papers: Greek or English,
* The abstract of an article written in Greek must also be provided in English.
b) Articles aimed at being published in a special volume of proceedings from the international scientific journal Annals of Computer Science and Information Systems (https://annals-csis.org/): should be in English.
Presentation: Conference presentations may be delivered in English or Greek.
Types of Papers
Full Papers or Extended Abstracts are accepted. The session proceedings will be published by the Helias Branch of the Hellenic Mathematical Society
Authors are asked to submit their manuscript in electronic form (Microsoft Word or compatible) either through the ICETASI form or via email to: ykon@sch.gr or emeileias2007@gmail.com with the indication for hms session.
Structure
Please follow the template instructions
a) Conference Papers: The first page should contain the author’s e-mail address and keywords. Papers may be written in English or Greek.
The format of the manuscript: Manuscripts must be written on A4 white paper, double spaced, with wide margins (3 cm), max 20 pages, Times New Roman 12pt. Each paper should be accompanied by an abstract of 100 to 150 words. References cited within text (author’s name, year of publication) should be listed in alphabetical order. References should follow the APA style (http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html).
b) Articles aimed at being published in a special volume of proceedings from ACSIS: IEEE template
Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors and adheres to strict anti-plagiarism policies.
If the manuscript is accepted for publication the authors agree to automatically transfer the copyright to the publisher.
Review
Submitted papers will undergo a blind peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers.
Certification
Attendance/Presentation Certificates will be awarded.
All conference articles will be published electronically in a standalone volume with ISBN and will be freely available (open access).
Articles intended for publication in Annals of Computer Science and Information Systems may need to undergo further review rounds.
